12/19/2017 0 Comments Cherry Cacao SmoothieThis smoothie has gotten added to my favorite ones of late ! The taste of cherries, camu and coconut milk complement each other to give a slight tart but balanced taste. I like the chocolate and nutty flavor from the cacao and walnuts ! Ingredients 1/4 cup filtered water 1 cup pitted unsweetened cherries (fresh or frozen) 1/4 cup coconut milk 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed 1/ 2 teaspoon camu camu 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon walnuts or pecans (optional) How to make Put all the ingredients in a blender and whizz. Add more water if you need. Note Camu berry is one of the most abundant sources of vitamin c found naturally. Also, a rich source of potassium, calcium, protein and amino acids.
